There are loads more though, the apps mentioned are just a few highlights.

Digital Pacific provide a reliable hosting solution which is highly scaleable. With a wide range of features they would be an appropriate solution for website beginners through to large corporations. Their pricing seems to be middle of the road; not offering budget hosting, but certainly cheaper than hosts such as MelbourneIT.

JustHost was founded in 2008 and is a relative newcomer in the hosting space compared to longer serving hosts such as GoDaddy. They market themselves as being affordable website hosts however, they have features that will keep even an advanced user happy. One issue we have found is that they don’t provide Windows hosting, only Linux; however, this shouldn’t be a problem for most.

Features:

JustHost provides all the features most would need in a web host. They offer a fantastic, easy to use interface that allows users to create a website quickly and easily with very limited website knowledge. They offer one-click installation which enables you to add website components or even a website platform (such as WordPress) with one click. There is also the ability to create eCommerce websites and install SSL certificates.

For more advanced users there are a massive selection of features. For example, you can create custom cron jobs, video integration, use javascipt and flash and also take advantage of the hosts script library.

JustHost allows you to host unlimited domains with unlimited space and bandwidth.

Reliablilty:

JustHost promises 99.9% uptime and have also set up their own company to monitor peoples uptime for them. This is called Just Uptime. They guarantee their uptime due to advanced load bearing services and superfast backbone connections.

Support:

JustHost offer 24/7 technical support through phone, email and livechat. They also offer a knowledgebase, forums and some very helpful video tutorials.

Overall:

JustHost offer a fantastic range of features with very reliable servers. When you combine that with their excellent customer support, you have a very impressive hosting company.

GoDaddy is a US based website host with a large range of hosting services. We think this is what sets GoDaddy apart from its competitors. If there is a service you need, the chances are that GoDoaddy will have it. With GoDaddy, you can be confident that they will be with you for the long haul as they are by far the biggest domain registrar and have been hosting websites since 1997. In internet years… that is a lot of years!

Features

GoDaddy have a staggering array of features to offer website owners. However, it should be pointed out that getting access to all these features will cost you. Basic entry level packages do not include a lot of features. GoDaddy suports several programming languages including CGI (Ruby and Python), PHP, Perl, ASP, MySQLColdFusion and FrontPage extensions.

GoDaddy is extremely easy to use and their file manager, domain manager and database manager make it easy for an absolute beginner to understand.

Reliability:

GoDaddy offer state of the art serves in the USA, Europe and Asia Pacific with full network redundancy and 99.9% uptime. They offer enterprise-class backup and restore technologies as well as 24/7 on-site security staff.

Support:

GoDaddy offer 24/7 support through a wide range of contact points. In addition to phone support, live chat and a ticketing system, there is also an extensive knowledgebase which answers almost every question conceivable in easy to follow language.

Overall:

Overall we rate GoDaddy very highly for its range of services, high performance and excellent customer support. One small problem we found was that at times the GoDaddy website can be difficult to navigate purely because it is so big. But that wouldn’t be enough to stop us recomending this website hosting service.
